National Bean Counters’ Day was founded by Kevin Wenig, a CPA who worked for years at those huge New York City CPA firms, where he learned everything he knows — including how to put on his tie without a mirror.

After his time in New York, he started his own accounting practice in Fairfield, Connecticut, focused on advertising, marketing, online retail, and other creative-based businesses. You’ll also never see him wearing a tie.
